Early Care & Education
"Good infant care is neither baby-sitting nor preschool. It is a special kind of care that resembles no other."
Program for Infant-Toddler Care (PITC)
“To reach a child’s mind, a teacher must capture his heart. Only if a child feels right can he think right” (Gartrell, 2003)
We believe this begins in infancy..
Infant Toddler Mental Health
To develop the proper teacher-child attachment necessary to establish a positive learning relationship, you first must build trust with the child. Teachers need to be responsive and intentional in their approach to early care education. Once trust is established and a child feels safe they can begin to explore and share openly and cooperatively. The teacher can now guide behavior and facilitate learning in an environment that supports following the interest of the child with a Lived Curriculum. As educators and caregivers, it is important to remember that Everything Begins and Ends with the Child.
Our classes are designed to promote high-quality infant care in a "lived" classroom environment.
